The brief

Why I write the Wilson County Buyer's Brief

I'm Travis Old. I'm a licensed North Carolina real estate broker (NC Broker #334264) with Horizon Realty Group in Moyock, and a licensed North Carolina general contractor (NC GC #99504, Limited/Building) who owns Two Sons Construction, LLC. Horizon is the brokerage behind this site; Two Sons is my building company. If a chapter mentions Two Sons, it is mine, and the chapter says so.

Wilson County borders Nash and Edgecombe counties, both in the area I serve, and I represent Wilson County buyers myself. The Wilson County Buyer's Brief is long-form on purpose: two briefs, one for a household whose work is remote, in the Triangle or at the new plants, and one for a buyer after an old house near downtown Wilson. Each is built from public records and the Hive MLS feed, researched and drafted with our AI assistant and reviewed by me before publication. Every chapter shows when its data was current.

I don't list every house in the county, and the listing agent on a home works for the seller, not for you. If you want representation on the buying side, that is what I do. If you'd rather just talk, call or text the number at the top of every page.

Client review

A client review

We were introduced to Travis through a friend and we're thankful that we got to work with him on our search and ultimate finding of our new home. Travis is a wealth of knowledge about the area and shared lots of information with us during our search that helped us in finding the right house for our family. He made appointments for the houses we wanted to see and showed us several he had found so we could compare different areas and styles. He was very patient with us and all of our questions. He shared his knowledge and suggestions in every house that we viewed. He is very responsive with his communication and willing to take the time to talk through our questions and concerns during the day, at night or on the weekends. Once we chose our house he worked closely with the selling agent and the mortgage company to keep the process moving along smoothly. We truly enjoyed our time with Travis looking at all the different houses and purchasing our home in our new hometown. He's the best and we would confidently recommend him to anyone that is looking for a house.
